Tara Climate Foundation is a regionally-led philanthropic organization headquartered in Singapore, dedicated to accelerating the energy transformation across South, Southeast, and East Asia (excluding China and India). Founded in 2021 and becoming independent in 2022, the foundation supports a diverse network of partners, including civil society organizations, think tanks, and the private sector, to foster a just and thriving society powered by renewable energy. Tara plays three primary roles in the region: providing grants to climate and energy transition partners, developing and assessing regional finance strategies, and convening stakeholders across borders to drive collaboration. Its mission focuses on scaling clean energy solutions, supporting people-centered energy transition strategies, and advancing clean industrialization to combat the climate crisis in the region.
