While large offshore commercial arrays are important in the future, small-scale fishers already farm seaweed today and produce the most cultivated seaweeds globally. These fishers, however, face challenges due to limited access to essential services and exploitative value chains. Coast 4C aims to unlock the potential of restorative seaweed farming for small-scale fishers by linking them to community-based marine protected areas.
