AlBihouth Waste to Energy Project Company L.L.C. oversees the development and operation of the Abu Dhabi Waste to Energy Plant, a flagship project aimed at supporting the UAE's sustainability and Net Zero 2050 goals. Established by Tadweer Group and EWEC with international investors like Marubeni and Kanadevia Inova, the company focuses on converting 900,000 tonnes of municipal solid waste annually into 80MW of renewable energy. This initiative is designed to power approximately 50,000 homes while significantly reducing landfill dependency and carbon emissions, with full operations expected to commence in 2027.
